The site was upgraded to HiveSocial(TM) version 3.0, which has allowed for the edu1world.org Graphical User Interface to be completely redesigned, including enhanced navigation and a more intuitive home page. Edu1world.org is pleased to announce the upgrade of the site on the HiveSocial(TM) version 3.0 platform. The upgraded platform has a number of feature and functional enhancements specifically designed to improve productivity, communication ability, and user involvement in content creation, content search, and collaboration. These enhancements were made possible by a technology infrastructure upgrade to Microsoft’s .NET 4.0 Framework.
Concurrent with the upgrade to HiveSocial(TM) version 3.0, the Graphical User Interface has been redesigned with a new edu1world homepage. Navigation has been enhanced, as well as features and functions designed to increase clarity and sharpen the intuitiveness of the site. edu1world offers a plethora of communities offered as free, premium, public or private, and the upgrade includes enhanced member communities. Premium communities will now include: News and Insights, HEdLines, People on the Move, edu1 Career Center, edu1Research Center, Action Analytics, and the CIO Roundtable.
The upgraded edu1world.org consolidates communities and adds additional sub-communities to focus on the content and services that our members have told us are important to them. edu1world conducted customer satisfaction surveys and focus groups to fully understand their members’ needs, and from those surveys and focus groups worked to develop the new interface. Sean Kainec, Organic Web Strategist, worked intensely on this upgrade, and he commented, “This new user interface will revolutionize the collaboration communities on the site.
