NEW Data Service Community on edu1world – Higher Education Vendor Information

0

Enterprise Hive and The Tambellini Group expand data services on edu1world.org to include vendor profiles with private discussion groups

The largest online community for higher education professionals, edu1world.org is piloting a new data service community to help IT decision makers and influencers quickly find software and services with unfiltered reviews from colleagues. The edu1world Vendor Information data service community combines a self-service search functionality to easily find vendor profiles and product information. In addition, the community also contains private forums to openly discuss vendors and their solutions without vendor oversight. The Vendor Information Community on edu1world replicates listserv functionality while it builds an online vendor directory and knowledge base.

“Every day we see requests on social media and listservs from IT decision makers looking for help with finding technologies or requesting vendor experiences from their colleagues.  We know that vendors are listening to these conversations which can stagnate the conversation” said Vicki Tambellini, founder and principal of The Tambellini Group. “By piloting a private and secure community on edu1world, higher ed IT will now have a single place where they can quickly obtain up-to-date vendor profile data from The Tambellini Group and connect with colleagues and build a vendor knowledge base using the social collaboration features of edu1world.” The Tambellini Group routinely provides the most up-to-date, detailed higher ed data to institutional leaders. This new data service community is designed to automate that process in order to give access to the data and colleague reviews any time, any place and on any device.

The pilot is designed to gather feedback from the edu1world community to improve the experience and deliver the services that will have the most value for higher education technologists. “Gathering direct input from the people who will be using the community is essential to our delivering a data service that provides real value and benefits to the higher ed community.” said Lauren Hart Piper Enterprise Hive Vice President Product Management and Marketing.

The pilot is underway with multiple institutions. Anyone interested in participating in the pilot should contact Lauren Hart Piper directly at lauren.piper@enterprisehive.com
