Enterprise Hive Announces edu Solutions Community on edu1world.org

0

Enterprise Hive is pleased to unveil the edu Solutions Community, which will enable colleges and universities to have private online conversations about vendor solutions, experiences with vendors and the quality of vendor services. Sponsored by Ball State University and hosted on edu1world.org, the community will help colleges and universities share and find much-needed unbiased information about specific vendors and products quickly.

Until now, colleges and universities have been concerned about discussing vendors and products on-line. Often, vendors monitor on-line conversations and use aggressive tactics to follow up with individuals posting questions, reviews and concerns. “With edu Solutions, individuals no longer have to worry about vendor oversight. With the powerful User Management Features of the HiveSocial platform, we are easily able to provide a Vendor Free Zone to higher education,” says Lauren Hart Piper, VP of Product Management and Marketing at Enterprise Hive.

The only way to gain access to edu Solutions is by invitation or approval. With this level of security, individuals will be comfortable providing candid reviews on specific vendors, products and services. In addition to space for forum type discussion, edu Solutions Community members can rate posts and comment on the posts that others make.

edu Solutions has two sub-communities dedicated to products and vendors in which members can provide reviews and rate comments. The first, focused on products, includes areas to discuss products related to communications and notification, CRM, e-learning, housing and student life, mobile payment processing, portals, and reporting and analytics. The second is vendor conversation community focused and organized for discussion about any vendor providing product and services to higher education.

In order to gain access to these exclusive sub-communities, individuals must first be registered members on edu1world.org. Profile information must include verifiable full-time higher education employment, as well as a higher education email address and a profile picture. Representatives from Ball State University will verify eligibility for access and will grant or deny permission. Use of the communities is free.

Institutions interested in working with Ball State University to provide moderation support may contact Loren Malm at lmalm@bsu.edu for information or an invitation.
